ARTIS TEILANS was born in Riga, Latvia and graduated the Riga Technical University, where he studied automatic and remote control and obtained his doctor degree in 1999. He is working in software industry at Exigen Services Latvia. In academic field he is a senior researcher at the Riga Technical university and a Professor at Rezekne University College as well. His professional interests include tecniques of system modeling and discrete-event simulation.
