This somewhat experimental datatype parses dates and date-times in various formats. Internally, dates are stored as the number of seconds since 1970.  Dates are displayed using the international [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_8601 ISO8601] standard as YYYY-MM-DDTHH:MM:SS format.
