== Saving a Project ==

To save a {{#var:PrF}} project:

Select File | Save Project,
click the Save Project
[[Image:PrF_UG_projects_project.save.gif|projects_project.save]]
button,
or type Ctrl-S (Cmd-S).

If this is a new project,
you will be prompted for the name and location.
Choose a name and location for the .pprj file;
the other files will be created automatically.
If you do not specify a location for the project,
by default,
the project will be saved in the directory where {{#var:Pr}} is installed.
If you are saving a database project,
you will need to supply additional information;
see
[[PrF_UG_files_database_backend|{{#var:Pr}} Database Format]].
